Waseem Haider

Chief Executive Officer

Waseem Haider is the Chief Technology Officer and Founder of SetRents. Waseem is an accomplished Senior Software Engineer and technology leader, Waseem has built a distinguished career across some of the most innovative organizations in the tech industry, including Comcast, Idemia USA, Change Healthcare, Paciolan, and as a Contractor for Apple. His expertise spans enterprise software architecture, system integration, cloud solutions, and full-stack development, with a focus on building scalable, secure, and high-performance digital platforms.

Waseem holds a degree in Information Technology from the University of Sindh, Pakistan, and is known for his ability to align technical strategy with business growth. His leadership at SetRents is driven by a vision to combine user-centric design with data-driven insights, empowering property managers, landlords, and tenants to operate more efficiently.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Waseem is a committed environmentalist, advocating for sustainability and green innovation in technology. He is also an active member of the American Pool Association (APA) and an avid golfer, reflecting his passion for balance, focus, and precision both in life and in work.

Benjamin Victor

Vice President/Chief Financial Officer

As the company’s Chief Financial Officer, Ben manages SetRents’ finances, taxes, and strategic direction, while implementing the company's vision. Additionally, Ben stepped into the role of Vice President. Now, in addition to his two other distinguished careers, he is actively leading the company and overseeing its continued success.

Beyond SetRents, Dr. Victor is a practicing MD Pathologist and a PhD Marine Fish Biologist. His scientific work includes describing new fish species, conducting DNA sequencing of coral reef fishes, and co-authoring the definitive book Fishes of the Galapagos.

Michael Bailey Uy

VP of Marketing

Bailey earned his B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UCLA and his M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering from UC Berkeley, where he learned that the same principles that hold up buildings can also hold up ideas. He is a licensed civil engineer by trade and a storyteller at heart. His work has always lived somewhere between structure and creativity, from designing foundations for real projects to shaping how SetRents tells its story.

Shuoyu (Arnold) Wang

Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Wang is a Postdoctoral Scholar at California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2) and California Plug Load Research Center (CalPlug) at UC Irvine, with background in mechanical engineering, civil engineering and computer engineering.

Prior to joining UCI, he was a post-graduate intern within the Building Energy Science Group at National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). Dr. Wang holds a Ph.D. in structural engineering from Lehigh University and a M.S. in civil engineering from University of Southern California. He also received his B.S. in civil engineering from Southwest Jiaotong University, China.

Dr. Wang’s research focuses on development of AI-based applications for performance prediction and control management for thermal energy storage (TES) systems. His research can be applied in diverse fields including industrial/commercial/residential building energy efficiency, characterization of energy-efficient materials, and advanced machine learning technologies for improving computational costs of numerical simulations.

Muhammad Saad

Lead Software Developer

Muhammad Saad, a young and dynamic software engineer, leads a talented team at SetRents, driving innovation and excellence in every project. Passionate about delivering high-performance, crystal-crisp software solutions, Saad plays a key role in advancing the company’s mission to create seamless digital experiences for customers. His leadership blends technical precision with creative problem-solving, ensuring each product exceeds expectations.

Over the past two years at SetRents, Saad has proven himself an invaluable asset. Beginning as a software engineer, his dedication, technical mastery, and ability to inspire his peers quickly earned him recognition as a natural leader. Under his guidance, the team has embraced cutting-edge technologies, streamlined workflows, and accelerated delivery, all while maintaining the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Today, as a respected team lead, Saad continues to mentor and motivate his colleagues, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and innovation. His vision for SetRents’ engineering efforts centers on technical excellence and customer-first design. Azan Sherazi

Director of Quality Assurance

As Director of Quality Assurance, Azan leads the strategic vision and execution of the company’s quality initiatives, ensuring that every product, platform, and customer experience meets the highest standards of excellence. With a deep understanding of software development, testing frameworks, and regulatory compliance, Azan oversees all QA operations, from test automation and process optimization to risk management and continuous improvement.

In this role, Azan partners closely with engineering, product management, and operations teams to establish a culture of quality throughout the organization. By leveraging modern testing methodologies, data-driven insights, and cross-functional collaboration, he ensures that each release is reliable, secure, and aligned with business goals.
